 The Mahabharata has the most awesome characters. Each Character of the Epic has favourites even the Antagonist, Duryodhana, has his fanbase. The Number of Characters appearing in the serials and daily soaps of the epic are not even half the Original Epic. The Epic's Characters are all interlinked with each other and the epics motive either through Family Connections, Reincarnations etc.

We all remember listening to the stories of the Mahabharat from our Grannies. The story did not have a specific time to be narrated, it would come out randomly at any moment or when you ask anything which somehow mysteriously is linked with the epic, but it would still sound so interesting that you just sit down on the ground and listen to your grandmom who is now the Narrator. After this Gradually an interest develops with the epic, We start to buy books of the epic in the form of short stories or episodes like The  Amar Chitra Katha  and then comes the serials and the movies of the epic and its characters. In fact, There are Fan Groups of Characters like  Arjuna, Karna (Fan here), Bhishma  etc. There are various retellings, Shows, Character Stories, Plays and other literary works of the epic which would only increase your attention of the epic.
